Design Engineering Manager

We're recruiting a new department manager and seeking someone with the following credentials and qualifications:

 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in mechanical engineering technology.
• 2-3 years experience in SolidWorks 3D modeling.
• Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office software.
• Experience in ANSI Y 14.5 and tolerancing.
• Experience in machining processes and welded structures.
• Able to recognize and solve basic design problems and think creatively.
• Good communication skills and hands on problem solving.
• Strong drafting and detailing skills.
• Background in design for manufacturability and simple DFMEA.
• Experience in fenestration and marine fields preferred.

Design Engineer

Machinist I

Our Machine Shop is looking for someone who may have had previous experience in machining, can read blueprints, is in good physical condition, has exceptional hand-eye coordination, has a good knowledge of shop tools, and is able to work independently. Our machinist needs to be able to stand continuously on a cement floor and must have good use of both hands to grip and hold both tools and products.

Pride in workmanship and dedication to producing a quality product are essential to success in this position and every position at Freeman.

If you are the successful applicant, you'd be working 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday thru Friday, with our Machine Shop crew. Some overtime and weekend work is required.

Fabricator - experienced

Be a part of our Fabrication Department! 

We're looking for someone who is in good physical condition, has had previous experience in metal working / fabrication, has a good knowledge of shop tools, and is able to work independently.   Welding experience is a necessity!

Pride in workmanship and dedication to producing a quality product are essential to success in this position.

You'd be working an 8 hour shift, 6:00 -2:30, Monday through Friday, with such talented folks as Roy, shown in the photo above.  This Fabricator started at Freeman in 1988 and is known for his welding skill and the excellence of his product.
