General Position Summary:
- Develops designs and produces drawings for fabrication of custom and standard products per client specifications using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Generate dimensionally accurate 3D models and drawings for new and existing products.
- Coordinates with sales to meet customer design criteria.
- Analyzes and resolves design problems with production and updates drawings as required.
- Generates part drawings from sketches and verbal instructions.
- Performs tolerance studies for fit and function of parts.
- Develops and prototypes new products.
- Performs basic strength of materials calculations to predict deflection/load/failure criteria.
- Performs FEA for select projects.

General Position Summary:
- Fabricates custom products (sliding and weather-tights doors, hatches, windows and other products) from stainless steel and aluminum.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Fabricates custom products – welding, cutting, shearing, straightening, grinding, routering, fitting, inspecting, assembling.
- Inspects products from other areas and corrects mistakes.
- Reviews drawings and solves potential problems with design and drawings.
- Communicates with sales, drafting, and other departments to ensure the quality of the product and its conformity to the customer’s specifications.

General Position Summary:
- Fabricates products (such as hatches, frames and doors), working with both stainless steel and aluminum.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Fabricates products – bending, flattening, welding, cutting, shearing, straightening, grinding, sanding, routering, fitting, inspecting, and assembling.
Secondary Functions:
- Helps out in other departments (such as Paint and QC).
Job Scope:
- Involves recurring work situations with occasional variations from the norm. Moderate degree of complexity due to (1) unique design features on products, (2) custom configurations, and (3) special tolerances.
- Operates from established and well-known procedures.
- Receives moderate supervision with decisions being reviewed by supervision from time to time.
- Errors could result in some rebuild of product, thereby adversely affecting production/shipment schedules in Fabrication Department.
- Not accountable for budget preparation/compliance or for control of capital assets. Not involved in long-range operational and strategic planning.
